The Show:

Investing is already a challenge on its own as you try to decide where to put your money, but how much should you be factoring in what’s happening in the news?

As we watch the Coronavirus become an international health crisis, it’s impossible to ignore the impact it also has industries and economies around the world. We all feel the impact of major news whether it’s close to home or halfway around the world. But is that something you should be reacting to when you’re working on retirement?

Today we’ll ask Don that question on this episode of Your Money & Your Life by looking at some of the top headlines in 2020. Along with those unexpected stories, there’s also the news we know is coming like the election later this year. Will these things have a big impact on the market? That’s what we’ll discuss on this show.

We’ll also take an email question about travel insurance. It’s not a product we offer but we have experience working with clients that want to travel extensively in retirement and have weighed the value of getting this type of insurance. Don will share a first-hand story about a client during his answer to the question.
